Avalon
opens in front of the sea on the edge of El
Playazo Beach, in Nerja, to
offer you a large selection of dishes from the Mediterranean cuisine with a creative
and personal touch of the chef Kevin Mark Robinson. The restaurant,
attached to the hotel with the same name, has a cosy dining room with a large fireplace, ideal to warm up next to
the light of the fire in the winter evenings, as well as a beautiful and sunny terrace, perfect to eat outdoors while you
breathe the breeze from the Mediterranean Sea and amuse yourself watching the spectacular views.
The friendly staff in the restaurant Avalon
is at your service throughout the day. In the morning they have a specific original breakfast menu to give
you a good start of the day. You can choose, for example, some succulent soft red fruits with a Greek
yoghurt, a banana smoothy with mixed
fruit or a breakfast English style
with bacon, eggs, sausages and black pudding (without missing the Spanish
accent!).
At noon you
will find its light lunch menu. You
have to taste its delicious gourmet
sandwiches with chunky chips and alioli, made in the particular style of
Avalon. You can fill them with marinated salmon, king prawns with cocktail
sauce, Manchego cheese and Serrano ham... Or if not, you can taste its varied
and abundant mixed meat and fish tapas,
or any of its colorful salads. You
will not find them anywhere else because they carry the personal stamp of the chef
Kevin.
In the
evening, starters and main courses’ menu
will surprise you with its offer of original dishes with an international
touch. You can start savoring a few fried
squids with Thai salad or a beetroot
cured salmon with sweet marinated herrings. Then, the most abundant dishes
of Spanish cuisine await you so that you can choose your favourite one: beer and tarragon battered fillets of
rosada, the finest Spanish fillet
steaks, shank of lamb, etc.
The reading
of Avalon’s delicacies does not end here: its assortment of desserts will conquer your palate with its sweetness
and its wines, with a variety of certificate
of origin products and homemade wines, combine the bitter taste with the
culinary delight. In addition, they have some menus for children, vegetarians and gluten intolerants, so everyone
is welcome in Avalon.
Enjoy the great atmosphere breathed in Avalon
seven days a week. Friday nights they feature with a flamenco show in charge of Ricardo de la Juana and their “bailaores”
(dancers), with a menu based on a fusion
of tapas, composed of six dishes and at a price of 25 euros per person. Don’t
