    Description

    The Figón de Juan restaurant is located in Pasaje Esperanto, 1, a small square situated five minutes from Malga´s downtown at the end of the street Esperanto, and next to the San Juan de la Cruz square.

    The restaurant Figón de Juan was founded in August 1989 by Juan Manuel Ramirez Romero, a man who has over 50 years of experience in the hospitality sector.

    The restaurant has been listed in the prestigious Michelin Guide and awarded with the Big Gourmand (distinguished by quality and price restaurant). Currently the is run by Juanma Ramirez, son of Juan, and the kitchen is left to the experienced Chef Juan Antonio Pascual.

    The restaurant has three dining, with typical Andalusian décor, with a rustic touch, it is very nice and charming. It's easy to feel good in here.

    Upon entering we found the Main dining, with a capacity for 35 people. On the other side is the bar, where you can enjoy a wide variety of tapas. The bar and lounge are separated by a wrought iron bottle rack, handmade, which has to 240 bottles of wine. The bottle rack is a work of Salvador Prieto smith Malaga.

    In the background are two lounges. The first seats 60 people, ideal for celebrations and business lunches. The other, more private, for up to 22 people is ideal for family or company meetings.

    This restaurant was created with obsession with quality. Therefore, it offers a market cuisine with dishes of simple preparation. Fishes from Malaga´s  Bay, Burgo´s meats, fresh seasonal vegetables ... make the delight of diners who sit at their tables. In this quality service goes an excellent team of professionals, with years of experience, offering customers an exquisite attention and making them feel at home.

    In Figón de Juan they are working with traditional cuisine, with daily fresh products such as fish and shellfish, which are the kings of the house, not forgetting the meat and vegetables of high quality. Among the fish that they offer, you can taste the best hake, grilled or baked, and some anchovies with lemon bay, unique in Malaga.

    In meats they can highlight the shoulders of lamb, beef tenderloin and beef steak, from Burgos. In vegetables, undoubtedly the star dish of the house are natural artichokes sauteed with green beans and ham.

    Among their homemade desserts, rice pudding, made simmered traditional way by Antoñita, mother of Juanma.

    They also have an extensive wine list, of various denominations of origin, Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Malaga among others.
